Hi,

I think that's probably a dependencies bug yes. Apparently Christian
Marillat (which was the previous gnome-terminal maintainer) added a
extra dependency on gnome-control-center to fix #211087, but I'm not
sure that's the right fix. 
gnome-control-center depends on capplets which depends on libgstreamer,
nautilus, gnome-session, libnautilus, .... and you get all this. 

If you want to do a test without this depends just remove gnome-control-
center from the Depends line in the debian/control and debian/control.in
files and rebuild the package. I'll try to make some test on this soon
too.
