I find it a lot worse to be princess style sensitive than making fun of somebody. it's not a coincidence that most totalitarian regimes supress humor/jokes (and I'm not suggesting that you (Thomas) are a dictator (or a dictator wannabe), just trying to show the perspective, to hint at the mechanisms at work).
Having been borne and raised in the US, I support and use the term ``Usian'' to refer to those from the US. American is not precise enough, as it can refer to anyone from either continent. Yes, Canadians, Brazilians, Mexicans, and Colombians are all Americans. Just like how Frenchman, Germans, and Spaniards are all Europeans.
well, I've never heard anybody refer to people from america by using term american. only people from USA are referred to as americans. it's somewhat inconsistent but so what... (it's the same in at least some other languages so it's not US usage only)
