Yes. The DAM has not accepted Goswin or yourself as DDs. (I don't
even know if you applied.) I don't know why. I trust his judgement.
I think a porter or buildd-admin needs to be AT LEAST as trusted as the
average developer, certainly not less.

Of course you are being rediculous. (Your standard practise on d-devel,
I have to admit.) This is not about stopping people from contributing,
but recognising that we cannot accept certain contributions from people
with whom we don't have a trust relationship.

Not at all. Patches & sponsored uploads are OK. Contributed binaries are
not.

This isn't elitism. I don't know why you & Goswin aren't developers and
I don't care to Google to find out. It isn't relevant.
