IMHO openness is one of Debian's great strengths, shutting people out runs
against this (and I don't think it'll solve anything), besides there are
lots of people involved with the project that aren't DD's (translators,
people in NM-process, interested people pre-NM-process, ...), shutting them
out would not solve anything, in fact it would probably be
counterproductive).
