very strange soname for libaal

hi,

i'm writing to ask suggestions for packaging libaal, a required library
to build reiser4 tools.

the problem is about the soname of built library:

~/devel/libaal-0.4.13$ ll src/.libs
total 366
lrwxrwxrwx    1 cavok    cavok          20 Dec 20 16:06 libaal-0.4.so.13 -> libaal-0.4.so.13.0.0*
-rwxr-xr-x    1 cavok    cavok      141988 Dec 20 16:06 libaal-0.4.so.13.0.0*
-rw-r--r--    1 cavok    cavok      224332 Dec 20 16:06 libaal.a
lrwxrwxrwx    1 cavok    cavok          12 Dec 20 16:06 libaal.la -> ../libaal.la
-rw-r--r--    1 cavok    cavok         708 Dec 20 16:06 libaal.lai
lrwxrwxrwx    1 cavok    cavok          20 Dec 20 16:06 libaal.so -> libaal-0.4.so.13.0.0*
~/devel/libaal-0.4.13$ objdump -p src/.libs/libaal-0.4.so.13.0.0 | grep -i soname
  SONAME      libaal-0.4.so.13
~/devel/libaal-0.4.13$

how can i name the libaalXXX package? maybe libaal-0.4-13?
or libaal-0.413 (strictly appying rule in Debian Policy 8.1)?

thanks
domenico
