Or read Stephen Brust's _To Reign in Hell_, which posits an alternative
explanation of the creation of the world, the nature and causes of the
conflict between the angels under Yahweh and those under Satan, and the
origin of humankind.

Or, in short, it posits what the 'real story' might be, one the assumption
that the Bible was written only by one side, and is thus biased. It does
make the assumption that "made in God's image" is a more specifically
accurate description than the general view of it among Christians.

It isn't precisely sympathetic to the fallen, but it ascribes the flaw of
of overwhelming pride to both sides...
