defaults, yes. magic, no.
run "postconf" to see postfix's current configuration.
run "postconf -d" to see postfix's defaults (which are, by and large, sane).
run "postconf -n" to see ONLY the non-default settings (very useful
when asking for help on the postfix-users list).
