I stand corrected, I was not aware that Marco d'Itri had added the
missing counterpart - a news2mail-gateway (in January)?

This remains:
Please do not read the Debian mailing-lists as news linux.debian.* and
send fups directly as mail to @lists.d.o, you have to make a normal
followup-posting, which will pass through a news2mail gateway that
reintroduces the original message-ids in Messsage-ID and References
header-lines.
