I havent had time to read this whole thread, but I saw it on DWN. 

I just wanted to thorw in the suggestion that you ask the author if it
is ok that you remove this message. I asked the Limewire authors if it
was ok that I removed their banner ads, and without much of a fight
they said "sure!".

If you've already done so, or upstream has already said they don't
want that, then nevermind...
