Just for the records: mplayer here plays most DVD rips just fine
fullscreen on a Laptop with a PII/266 and ancient Neomagic graphics
hardware with XVideo. And at least most DivX3.11 AVIs play quite
perfectly using framebuffer as well which seems nearly as efficient
as XVideo at least on my hardware. Only some XVID and DivX5.x run
short of CPU power from time to time.
Believe me - your fact isn't fact. We are not talking about Windows
which needs 10 billion MHz to play the simplest AVIs.

Cheers,

Marcus
