My leaning would be to not split it.  The current haskell-doc takes up a
grand total of 1.6M on my disk (according to du -sh
/usr/share/doc/haskell-doc), of which less than 500k is the gentle
introduction.  Saving 500k space on the experienced haskellers' disk hardly
seems worth the trouble of making the newbies download several packages to
get all the docs.

Of course, if it's easier to maintain as separate packages, that would be
another issue...
