You are not seriously trying to say that a web archive is anywhere as
comfortable as a newsreader.

Jftr, the majority of spam coming in to me is to the addresses I use
as maintainer for my packages, and to the address I use to file bug
reports. The mailing list addresses are almost spam-free.
