Description : Python modules for computational molecular biology
Project current goals are to develop:
* The basic data types for biological objects, such as sequences and
maps,
* The core analysis tasks, including database record lookup,
sequence algnment and the ubiquitous BLAST and FASTA interfaces,
* I/O routines for the standard file formats,
* Scaffolding to get these parts talking to each other,
* Freely-available, high-quality, well-documented source code and
documentation,
* A regression suite to tell if we made any stupid mistakes.
