The RFC1918 ranges are reserved for private internets. They can be
routed inside these private internets. 169.254.0.0/16 is a range
reserved for "link local" communications. Routing these addresses even
in a private environment is horribly broken and will break the
autodiscovery process laid down in the poposed standard document with
the number that I so easily forget.
