point in versions is not decimal separator, but major or minor version
separator. So

0.00001 == 0.01 == 0.1

all means 

major version=0
first minor version=1

but not equal to 1.0, which would mean

major version=1
first minor version=0

and also different to 10 or 100000, which would just mean major versions
10 or 100000
