They're still pretty much equivalent from a user's point of view -- at one
side, not seeing a recommends will cause problems, and at the other side,
seeing too many conflict resolution screens will cause problems. In either
case there's a pretty good chance that a fair percentage of users will be
annoyed at the upgrade process.
