Well, I don't think that's entirely true. The project does have a pool
of funds received through donations. I admit it seems unlikely we would
spend it on paying someone to hack on a Debian subproject, but I don't
think it's entirely inconceivable.
And of course, the more donations we get, the more likely it is we can
pay people...
