I think it's very likely that xmms accesses those plugin files at startup
time, even when they're not in use. And it's true:
ruby~$ ls -la --time=atime /usr/lib/xmms/Visualization/
total 168k
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4.0k Feb 22 10:23 ./
drwxr-xr-x 7 root root 4.0k Feb 22 10:23 ../
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 34k Feb 22 10:03 libbscope.so
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 67k Feb 22 10:03 libjess.so
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 18k Feb 22 10:03 libogl_spectrum.so
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 30k Feb 22 10:03 libsanalyzer.so
It *would* be nice to be able to poll packages like doc-rfc, doc-linux-*,
etc..
Ohyes, the check for -dev packages is nice too, but not yet perfect:
1014283527 1014283537 slang1-dev /usr/share/doc/slang1-dev/examples/config.h <RECENT-CTIME>
