Help with dpkg AIX port
Hi!
After last weeks thread on porting dpkg to AIX I downloaded the current
cvs version and have since been able to build all of dpkg except dselect
(and the pid_is_exec() function of the start-stop-daemon needs to be
implented). My problem is testing it, as I only have normal user accounts
available to me. I thought I could work around it with the fakeroot
program, but it seams to be such a Linux hack so I'm not even sure it is
worth trying to port it. Does anyone have any suggestions of trying it out
without root access? Have anyone even tried to port fakeroot to another
platform?
