Potato -> Woody problems

Hi all,

Just did an upgrade on a box running to stable from Potato to Woody as a
trial run. I did an apt-get update; apt-get dist-upgrade and ended up
without the right libc for the perl binary that was installed by dpkg.
I'm not sure if this is an ordering constraint that is failing. perl
failed with GLIBC_2.2 not found in /lib/libc.so.6.

What's the best way to go about tracking this down? A lot of stuff went
wrong until I force installed the right libc using plain dpkg, and then
ran apt-get -f install. It all seems to be going smoothly now.

I'd like to file bugs but I'm not sure if it's the fault of perl, libc
or what? Has anyone else had this problem?

Cheers,
Grahame

(Disclaimer: I know testing doesn't have to work etc, this is not a
complaint it is constructive feedback :)
