If i'm correct (and i'm not sure as i don't have volumes created with 0.8
lvm versions), 1.0.1 supports old-style volumes as well (since
1.0-something).
the 'lvm' package in unstable is maintained by me, and can probably be
removed from the archive. I'll look into that.
