I just found out that I had the same problem, the reason is that
Yotam uses invalid Message-IDs:
Message-ID: <20011121012113.A2405@yotam@makif.omer.k12.il>

Which inn (and probably any newsserver) rejects with:
| innd: localhost:17 bad_messageid
Afaics this M-ID was generated by mutt, he has probably
yotam@makif.omer.k12.il
in /etc/mailname, and should change it to something without a @ in it.
