I also would like to vouch for autoinstall.  I've used it to install
about 100 machines so far.  I think its more straightforward than FAI
and pretty hackable (written in python).  I'll probally (pretty soon)
check out the newer revision than what I'm using and get some of my
machines going towards woody soon and help with any bugs that pop up.
