/usr/lib/sm.bin
Hello!
Can anyone explain me what the purpose of putting a bunch of broken symlinks
in /usr/lib/sm.bin? (Package: sendmail)
These symlinks looks like they are ready to be copied into /usr/bin but it
seems to me that broken symlinks are not the things that should be in
distribution.
Am I wrong?
Example:
19:51:57 pepper:~$ env LANG=C dpkg -l sendmail
Desired=Unknown/Install/Remove/Purge/Hold
| Status=Not/Installed/Config-files/Unpacked/Failed-config/Half-installed
|/ Err?=(none)/Hold/Reinst-required/X=both-problems (Status,Err:
uppercase=bad)
||/ Name Version Description
+++-==============-==============-============================================
ii sendmail 8.11.1-2 A powerful mail transport agent.
19:52:07 pepper:~$ ls -l /usr/lib/sm.bin/hostname
ls: /usr/lib/sm.bin/hostname: No such file or directory
19:52:13 pepper:~$ ls -l /usr/lib/sm.bin/host*
