debconf_0.3.81.dsc has: Build-Depends: perl5, debhelper (>= 2.0.98), debconf-utils, gettext, libapt-pkg-dev, g++ But dpkg -p debconf-utils says: Depends: debconf (>= 0.3.31) So one can't compile debconf without having it already installed. Is this circular dependeny policy-compliant, or should it be? How should one break the circle, force installation of debconf-utils? This is probably an issue with autobuilding.
