Hmm... I think you should go back and re-read what you wrote. RMS and many
other people started the GNU effort years ago and RMS is perfectly right in
saying that this was his effort, not Linus' or anybody else related to the
Linux _kernel_ itself. I find it perfectly justified that RMS seeks for
recognition of the GNU Project achievements (because I think you missed the
issue completely - I suppose that RMS speaks for all the people behind the
GNU project not for himself personally) - after all if not the GNU project
the Linux kernel wouldn't be really useful, would it? As RMS said - the
Linux kernel filled the last, and very important, gap in the GNU Operating
System. It happened so that the GNU project gained much publicity because of
the Linux kernel, but it doesn't mean all the credit should go to the Linux
kernel effort.

          ^^^^ this is the word that should be used to describe your mail -
an unjustified ad hominem attack on a person who made it possible, in huge
part, for you to use the free software you use right now!
