Sorry for my slow reply, i was a little more occupied with festival-stuff
this weekend.

Not yet. The name will be libnids-dev, as a static lib can only be used for
development stuff.
I didn't make it dynamic (yet).

I think it's a good idea to follow public releases; i will package 1.14.0 as
soon as it is public..
