Oh come on Hamish... you are just picking for the sake of picking...

1) Unless the package names clash with Debian, it won't send them to
Debian. (And the plan would be to NOT conflict at all)

2) the BTS is settable with a simple -B command.  Currently -B kde-debian
(or -B tdyc) will submit bugs to tdyc..., and amazingly enough, though
it's _not_ very useful on a Debian system, -B mandrake will submit bugs
for Mandrake Linux.  Adding dfmr as an option is FAR cleaner than having
dozens of sites with packages and no bugtracking at all.

3) If you really want a perfect solution: rewrite reportbugs to pick the
right BTS based on the apt db. Apt knows where the package came from.
That would solve all current problems with kde, gnome, and other BTSes
also.

Now, I respect your right to object to DFMR or anything else... but if you
are gonna complain, at least complain about reasonable things. :)
