Considering the statement in the SC that Debian is 100% Free Software,
a less-free movement within Debian would violate the Social Contract
even if that meant Debian included 1 non-free package in it's
distribution. That said, I don't consider opponents to this
resolution to be of a "less-free" orientation for obvious reasons.

This insinuation is groundless.

There is no evidence that people in Debian are wanting to change the
DFSG to accept only the GPL. The FSF doesn't even believe that only
the (L)GPL counts as Free Software, and while RMS has made proposals
in the past for Debian to make the distinction between Debian main and
the non-free packages clear, he, or anyone else, has never suggested
that the DFSG be changed so that just GPLed software was acceptable.
I doubt there is even a single person involved in Debian that believes
the GPL is the only aceptable license.

If you wish to paint those in favor of removing non-free as religious
zealots, it would behoove you to refrain from fire-brand pulpitry and
innuendo.

The level of discussion on all sides has been appalling. I can't say
it's surprising, but it is still disappointing. I understand that the
resolution is covering save very controverisal issues, but let us act
like adults and show respect for others.
