PPP on Potato
I tried to install Potato over my dialup line. I
downloaded the base2.2.tgz image to an unused
partition, and built the root, driver, and rescue
disks from the disk files. I installed the base
system and then tried to run pppconfig to be able to
get to my isp via modem. I gave pppconfig the same
options as I did under slink and tried to connect.
The modem dials, but I fail to logon. I then tried
using the same chatscripts (chapscrits) and ppp script
files that I already had working under slink. This
also failed. Has ppp changed between slink and
potato? (ATTWorldnet uses chap for login).
