Packages available for adoption
I am offering the following packages for adoption. I am not orphaning
them, and I will continue maintaining them if nobody wants them.
The reason for the offer is that I don't particularly care about these
packages, so they might have better time with someone else.
clif - a C interpreter
+ no bugs
freesweep - a text-mode minesweeper game
+ easy, no bugs, friendly unpstream
gclinfo, gclinfo-html - the ANSI Common Lisp spec
+ messy but not that difficult
+ no bugs
mixal - an implementation of Knuth's MIX and MIXAL
+ easy, not that much upstream activity
+ no bugs
mmorph - an implementation of the TWOL morphology model
+ a little messy
+ upstream seems to have no interest
+ one bug I can't figure out
nase-a60 - an implementation of Algol 60
+ easy
+ friendly upstream with releases about once a year
+ you may need to think about the copyright issues
regarding the report that is part of this package
+ no bugs
poster - make posters out of a postscript page
+ easy
+ no apparent upstream activity since the orignal release in spring
+ no bugs
***
I am also offering for adoption a package I just adopted. I took it over
to keep it in the distribution (the old maintainer wanted to remove it)
but I would not mind if someone wants to take it from me:
rosegarden - music notation and sequencing program
+ many bugs
+ upstream is working on a full rewrite
