No, this is not X-TT problem. It is xfsft's problem.
There is two major implemantation to support TruType font on X.
These are X-TT and xfsft.
(These are already included in XFree86 3.9.15)
I have already made patches and build X-TT enabled packages based on
xfree86_3.3.4-1. These are only for test.
These packages are compiled on i386 and Alpha plathome.
