Ok. This is more or less what I wanted to know.
Now, for a slightly related issue:
If I thought this could be done differently (I'm not sure), where is the
text I should try to amend? i.e. Where is the "release manual"?
[ I'd *love* to see what you said written somewhere, even if nobody is
willing to amend it, I think it would be a good way to avoid
certain questions about the release in the future ].
