People do...but not when it means sacrificing stable code for a version
yet to be released. The packager of XFree is still working out the final
issues with XFree for Slink. For him to drop that to work on a XFree 3.3.3
version for potato would be wrong. In the meantime, someone else has
made .deb's available for 3.3.3 and they work great.
