Same with Caldera. Same with SuSE. That's not the point.

That's not the point here, John; the point is that companies can make
profit off it. As it stands, it would not be in a company's best interests
to close the source, so they're more likely to leave it open. But take a
look at BSD/OS (aka BSDi). It's a BSD. It's utilizing that part of the BSD
license that allows binaries only.
Besides, what's the point of having source that you had to pay $200 for?
Where's the 'free' in that? Where's the 'open'? Where's the 'public'?
