Please, please, please, a plea to all of you involved in this thread:

This haranguing of an individual developer on the -devel list is
totally out of order.  To discuss policy in general, yes, the -devel
and -policy lists are both appropriate for such issues.  But when
specific developers are being talked about, as painful as it is that
it is seen to be necessary, there is only one appropriate mailing list
for the purpose: -private.  The -private list exists precisely to
discuss sensitive issues, and the question of the behaviour of any
individual developer *must* remain a private one.  Such emails to
public lists are detrimental to the project as a whole and must stop.
