	Well, have you tried Nessus? I'm also trying to package it, however
it is in the WNPP assigned to lohner@typhoon.icd.teradyne.com (Nils Lohner,
I think)... so I have contacted him.
	NESSUS uses GTK, separates client and server with an encription
layer (in its next version due next January), and more than 150 security
checls. So yes, IMHO, SATAN is obsolete...
