dpkg, dselect, apt... what's what?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Can someone give me (us) some definitive answer (or pointer to one),
how the packages selection/installation process will work in the
future?
I mean, there's dselect... but I understand it will be replaced.
When? How can one help?
Then there's dpkg... and apt/apt-get. Will the coexist? Or will apt
really replace dpkg? Or apt replaces dselect and apt-get dpkg? Or
what?
Any clues/info/pointers very welcome...
Bye, J
PS: I just d/l'd apt 0.1.9's src... will look into it.
