Then after being duly chastised :) you say:

So what exactly is your complaint?  You seem to think that Debian should
use the Open Source Guidelines to build a distribution, but then you say
that those same guidelines are not suitable for creating said
distribution.

I've completely no idea what your complaint is.

IMO, Debian is the best distribution I've ever used (and I've done
Slackware, RedHat, and Caldera).
