No. We should not break the system in this way. We should support the
already large installed base we have for hamm, and not make them do things
by hand. The solution is simple: use an epoch. What's wrong with that?

I'm sure everyone is capable. But we have mechanisms to works around this,
and any version of debian should be cleanly upgradable to any other, even
intermediate versions.
