The instructions are just "install the Gnome packages, if and when they
exist." I'm not sure if Jim Pick has uploaded them yet. Otherwise Debian
is covered by the "Building from scratch" section (and the build works
fine, if you have the right packages installed).

I'm sure if someone wrote up a list of needed packages (either the
dependencies for the .debs, or the required tools for building from
scratch), the www.gnome.org people would be happy to include that.
