Bug#4497: mailq confused by $TERM setting

Package: smail
Version: 3.1.29.1-23

`mailq' exhibits different behaviour depending on the terminal settings.
In an xterm:

0 dave@zenda:~$ echo $TERM
xterm
0 dave@zenda:~$ mailq
m0v2c4U-0003AGC From: dave (in /var/spool/smail/input)
                Date: Mon, 16 Sep 96 12:42 BST
                Args: -t -oem -oMP sendmail
0 dave@zenda:~$

On the console:

0 dave@zenda:~$ echo $TERM
linux
0 dave@zenda:~$ mailq
m0v2c4U-0003AGCFrom: dave (in /var/spool/smail/input)
Date: Mon, 16 Sep 96 12:42 BST
Args: -t -oem -oMP sendmail
0 dave@zenda:~$

Some problem with the tab settings?

Dave
