Elvis 1.7 vs 1.8

Ian's source package list contained the following entry:

I spoke up for this and a few other packages.  I'll be kitting them up
once a final set of guidelines for this is posted.

However, elvis is now at version 1.8pl1 (with pl2 in the works), though the
latest I've seen on the usual linux ftp sites is 1.7.  My plan is to kit up
the current 1.8 release, not 1.7.  I just thought I'd mention this ahead of
time in case anybody has a reason why I shouldn't do this.
