Re: NetPanzer Revival

Hello,

Bug 1061474 has been submitted for the master server issue.

Also, thanks again to the team that has kept NetPanzer in Debian alive while others were MIA. I am happy to learn about Debian's processes and help pickup some of the slack.

Thanks!

Fulvio Testi (Fu) - netpanzer.info

Fu has passed away, the other I am in communication with. However, it seems like he is interested in handing the baton off.

Sure thing. I am learning about Debian's process - will check this out.

Yes. I obtained the code from Fu before he passed away, with the sole purpose of running the new master server. The code is here: https://github.com/netpanzer/masterserver/blob/main/npms.c
That is the current deployed version.

At this point in time the primary Debian netpanzer maintainer is MIA,
so other team members have been taking up the slack.

Thanks for taking over development.

Could you give the name/website of the maintainer who passed away?

I note there are two admins of the SF project, are both unreachable?

https://sourceforge.net/projects/netpanzer/

Would you mind reporting a bug about this? (severity serious)

Is the new masterserver compatible with 0.8.7? Is the code public?
