Resigning from the team, leaving two packages behind
Dear all,
I'm resigning from the Games team. I have been a member for some 3
years, but I've never been really active, so there's a chance that
most of you didn't even notice me.
I've been the Uploader for only two packages, pysolfc and
pysolfc-cardsets. While pysolfc was my first Debian (and before that,
Ubuntu) package ever, I've never played it to an extent that would
motivate me enough to keep maintaining it (I don't really play any
computer games at all these days), even if the effort seems minimal --
there haven't been any upstream releases for almost 5 years.
Nevertheless, I've realized that even that little work has become
somewhat of an annoying chore in times of Debian freeze periods.
There's currently only one bug [1] for pysolfc in the BTS, for which
there's already a fix in git [3]. Also, pabs has suggested a number of
fixes [2], most of which I've not gotten to, except maybe for
forwarding one or two requests upstream.
Please tell me if any further steps are required from my part -- e.g.
should I remove the Uploader field? Note that I'm not able to do any
uploads to sid myself, as I'm neither a DD nor a DM. As I'm only set
as Uploader (with the team as Maintainer), I guess there isn't even a
need to orphan my packages, is there?
Thanks to everyone who has helped me with my packages, especially miry
and pabs -- hope you're not too disappointed with me.
Kind regards
Bernhard
