Description:
libsafe - Protection against buffer overflow vulnerabilities
Closes: 77052 129345 140352 151323 151577 159351
Changes:
libsafe (2.0-16-2) unstable; urgency=low
.
* Added a patch to prevent segfaults in libdl (and possibly other similar situations),
by having libsafe cache all needed symbols upon initialization; the following problems
were caused because libsafe was being invoked from inside libdl, causing libsafe
to try and call libdl before its address was known. Many thanks to
Goswin Brederlow <goswin.brederlow@student.uni-tuebingen.de> for analyzing
the problem and supplying the patch.
Closes: #77052: libreadline2: subprocess post-installation script killed by signal
Closes: #129345: libsafe: breaks libgtk1.3-common postinst
Closes: #140352: mcrypt doesn't like libsafe
Closes: #151323, #151577: segfaults when calls dlerror(3)
* Fixed prerm to work correctly when ld.so.preload-manager is not installed
Closes: #159351: libsafe: subprocess pre-removal script returned error exit status 1
