A new tkdesk for unstable
Ooops. This first went to debian-changes, not debian-devel-changes.
A few notes:
The version number needs a bit of explanation. According to the
upstream author, this is a "pre-release" of 1.0. Now, since the upstream
author has some slightly unusual ideas about version numbering, "1.0"
comes _after_ "1.0-beta-4". This may not seem unusual at first, but
dpkg considers version "1.0" to come before version "1.0b4". So, I've
given this version the name "1.0p1" for "1.0, pre-release 1". When the
upstream author decides that tkdesk 1.0 is not just pre-released, but
actually released (the upstream author may have already decided this and
has simply neglected to update his webpage), if there is new source to
upload it will be called version "1.0r".
Also, this is going only into unstable, not frozen, because I don't
trust it. So far, it's seemed slightly less stable to me. There
should be a tkdesk for frozen, true; I've got someone's improvement on
the NMU tkdesk_1.0b4-2.1 and will look through that and make a
maintainer release into frozen rsn, unless someone raises serious
objections to the inclusion of a previously orphaned package in
frozen.
