I've just removed a bunch of packages from wheezy-backports where the
packages aren't available in jessie anymore. I would like to remind
backporters that we somewhat expect them to track the packages they
backport and in case of issues contact the backports team pro-actively.
This is especially important during the freeze time (when it gets clear
that the package won't end up in the next release) or shortly after the
release, but is a general expectation independently of release status.
In case the reason for the package to be removed from the release is
something that is expected to be an issue for the next release too, it
might make sense to take that into consideration when thinking of
uploading the package again for jessie-backports to avoid the same
problem to appear again.
Like always, if you are in doubt we (the backports team) invite you to
get in contact with us so we can find a solution for the issue.
