And I was just saying that yesterday at lunch and go side tracked, my appologies. It is time to take nominations of people wishing to run for the position of Debian Project Leader. Requirements: Ask past leaders, it seems like a thankless job. Other than that, nobody may nominate somebody else (ie, you can only nominate your self). Proceedure: Send a pgp signed email to secretary@debian.org. CC the email to debian-vote@lists.debian.org stating your intent. Please conduct all platform discussions on debian-vote and take all technical issue discussion off to -devel and all flamefest to -project. The constitution states that the second third weeks are for campaigning. It doesn't state whether or not campaigning should be allowed durning the first three weeks. After consultation with interested parties (last year), campaigning is allowed during the nomination period (first three weeks). Time: The nomination period ends February 1st, 2000. The voting will begin February 22, 2000. -- Please cc all mailing list replies to me, also. ========================================================================= * http://benham.net/index.html <gecko@benham.net> <>< * * -------------------- * -----------------------------------------------* * Debian Developer, Debian Project Secretary, Debian Webmaster * * <gecko@debian.org> <secretary@debian.org> <lintian-maint@debian.org> * * <webmaster@debian.org> <gecko@fortunet.com> <webmaster@spi-inc.org> * =========================================================================
