Debian's children distros, are they cooperating with us?

Well, it's not a well know page (and Google tells [0] me it's not linked
at all outside of our own site) but we have in the web server a page
dedicated to children distributions [1]

I was wondering, however, is anyone working together with the people at
these distributions? (at least those active and _not_ part of the Debian
projet such as Demudi).

There are quite a lot of things we could have integrated in the
distribution even if the people working in them would have worked together
with Debian and cooperated in including the things they have done to try
to improve the core distribution. This, unfortunately, has not happened
(IMHO) with some distributions which are no longer available (such as
Corel or Stormix). Fortunately there are people that have contributed to
the Debian distribution (Progeny).

I'm currently trying to cooperate with Linex (and thus with Knoppix since
they want to use its installation system) in order to bring into Debian
some of the stuff they have done.

However, I think that some distributions, for example Xandros, which have
added some stuff which I believe Debian could use, are not actively
working with Debian.

How could we encourage this people to cooperate with Debian more? (if we
believe, and I think we do, that their improvements to the distribution
are useful)

Javi

PS: Of course those improvements we _can_ (or want to) include in Debian.
